We have only one room (Lounge) unaffected by rising and penetrating damp. One bedroom is uninhabitable and the remaining bedroom, kitchen and bathroom are rapidly deteriorating.
When we first moved in four years ago, it was obvious that the property had previously suffered serious structural problems. On being assured that these problems had been rectified we proceeded to totally re-decorate. Here are a few photographs of the worst affected bedroom.
The rising damp is very close to meeting the penetrating damp. Soft furnishings, decorations, books and personal effects etc. Have long been totally destroyed.
